traiwielder:
The halls where so barren it was almost painfully obvious. The brunette Hufflepuff trotted up one of the moving staircases quickly, trying to make it to a new floor before it moved on again. Just two more flights of stairs, nothing much. Still, the lack of other students made this easier for him. No one to run into, to question why the Hufflepuff was in such a hurry. Still he skirted along quickly, also trying to keep out of sight of any possible teacher.
There, finally, the seventh floor. He huffed a sigh of releif and walked slowly down the hall. Looking up at the paintings he passed and the tapestries. Looking for the - ah, there it was. He glanced tapestry with an odd display of trolls on it before turning to face the opposite wall.
The stone was blank, perfect, leading no one to suspect the truth behind it. Terra closed his blue eyes and licked his lips, shifting the bag on his shoulder before walking past the wall. “I need a place for us.” He whispered, moving to edge of that section of wall before turning. Pacing back down to the other end before speaking again. “I need a place for us.” Again the process was repeated, finally the final chant was whispered. “I need a place for us.”
He knew it might not work, but he hoped it did. The Room of Requirement was a good place to get away, it was safe. He paused, opening blue eyes. There, on the wall, was a door. He smiled to himself and quickly moved to it, ducking into the newly formed room.
It looked almost identical to his dorm room, except painted in emerald. Blue eyes blinked in slight surprise as he closed the door behind him, moving the bag off his shoulder. No, it wasn’t that much like his dorm room after all. It was much more lush, with grand tapestries and rich fabrics covering the few chairs in the room. He set his bag on the desk that was central in the room, looking at the fireplace burning hot. It could be called a common room if it wasn’t for the bed. The brunette clicked his teeth, nodding somewhat. “For us.”
Balthier glanced out of the window, taking note of the bright, sunshine infused day before smiling lightly to himself. He was in the library, looking over the properties of the various and colorful phials of potions he had amassed over the summer. Carefully, he tucked them all back away in his bag, before realizing it was time to meet Terra. He checked the book out, and carried it with him through the halls.
He was excited to meet Terra again, before the burden of classes and homework fell upon him. And although it was generally a moot point, there were still some Slytherins wary of mingling as such with other houses.
Before long he found himself at the room, pushing up the glasses slipping down his nose. “Hm.”
He walked in front of it, three times, thinking he wanted inside to meet Terra. He looked back at the wall, and lo, a door. Balthier clutched the large book to his chest a bit tighter, nervous, as he opened it and went in.
“Terra?” He said as he closed the door behind him, looking around at the room.
